Our wonderful 1 year old cat, Sherwood. We adopted him from Petsmart on February 10th, 2012, and have dubbed him “Baby Cat”. This is because he’s only a year old, but is too big to call a kitten, so he’s a baby cat. or Domestic Cougar. I figured I’d post pictures so the foster mom can see him. And because the internet loves cats.
Thanks so much for sharing! He looks very happy to be with you!
momo-to-momo asked: Just wanted to say, we adopted Sherwood on the 10th of February, and we absolutely adore him! He's so sweet and precious! He's huge too! We call him Baby Cat since he can't really be called a kitten with that size. He's so soft, and playful, and he makes the most adorable noises. Everytime someones in the bathroom he'll kick the door open and get in the sink. And when he sleeps, he sleeps! He's just the best cat, and at such a young age!
Thanks so much for the update! It’s so great to hear about past fosters. We wonder about them frequently! It’s amazing that Sherwood now has a loving home and is no longer an alley kitten/baby cat! If you feel like sharing any photos of Baby Cat Sherwood, we’d love to see them!
Pepper got adopted on Sunday!
He will be going to the same vet I use for fosters and my own cats!
I really have been slacking. This photo is from 2/10/12. Sherwood got adopted that evening!
Forgot to mention the adoptions!
I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that all three of the first fosters of 2012 got adopted! Neo got adopted 2 weeks ago. He is living with a couple who adopted a Stray Cat Blues cat in November. Two IS better than one! As of this past Saturday, Zola is going to be living with her new parents, their 16 year old human, and a dog. Alister is going to be an only cat, but he will be very loved and well taken care of. His mom adopted from Stray Cat Blues in 1996, and recently said goodbye to her long time friend.
Zola had so many applications, but nearly all of them were terrible. I’ve heard that the cutest kittens bring out the worst applications. Zola sure is a looker! I’d love to see how she grows up. I hope her new family sends updates!
In case anyone is interested…
Our former foster Andy got re-adopted! It seems like the perfect home for him. Katy says that his new dad used to work at a vet office, so he has experience, patience, and the perfect quiet home for him! Hooray!
On Saturday, Joni’s dream came true and she went home with her new family!
Mandy has sent me photos of Mr T (formerly Trio) playing and sleeping. She says, “You would not believe the change in Mr T since he came home from PetSmart. His true personality has come out and he’s not cranky at all anymore. He’s such a sweetheart and he loves attention!”
I think I am going to add a link on the main page called “Adopted!” that will link to posts like this! Original post here.
Also adopted…
Posie left the adoption center for her new home on Christmas Eve! Joni is by herself now. I’m going to see her on Friday. Hopefully someone will fall for her soon. I know it will be harder on her to be at the store without her sister. Visit Joni at the Petsmart in Collegeville or on petfinder.com!
It’s official! Claudio and Cambria are adopted! The new family won’t be ready for them until the day after Christmas, so we have 2 more weeks with these crazy little cuties!
Some might say their adoption was fate. The kittens’ new family had been talking about adopting for a while. They had decided that they wanted a gray kitten and a black kitten. They checked petfinder, and who do they see? Claudio and Cambria! They submitted an application, and the time on the application was a mere hour and a half after I had posted them! Talk about good timing!
So since we have these two babies at home, and Joni and Posie are still at the adoption center waiting for a home, it seems that we won’t see any new fosters until the new year. Fear not, there will be plenty of photos of those 4, plus other adoptable kitties!
Good news!
I just read the Stray Cat Blues adoption update, and 3 of the cats I posted on Friday were on there! Nate and Ellee got adopted together! Da Vinchi also has a new home!
Posie and Joni are still waiting patiently at the adoption center.
Adelphia update
I heard from Adelphia’s mommy a few days ago and she said that our little girl now named Olive, is playful, eating well, and getting along with her new 2 year old sister!
Wolfie update
In Sunday’s Stray Cat Blues weekly adoption update, Wolfie’s name appeared twice! After his Thursday adoption, he was in the weekend blurb:
—————
Two kittens, Casper and Motto, were adopted at Collegeville. They were adopted by the family who adopted Wolfie on Thursday. People say that “two are better than one” so that must mean “three are even better than two.”!
—————
I met these kittens, and they are sweet and friendly black and white 5 month old kittens. Wolfie will love his new brothers!
You did it Wolfie! Congratulations to you and your sisters for your speedy adoptions! Cinderella was adopted on Tuesday, and tonight Wolfie and Peach will be going to their new homes! Everyone is going to separate homes, but they will all have company. Cinderella will be living with a young couple and a 5 month old cat. Wolfie will be living with a 3 year old cat and a handful of children. Peach will be living with a Stray Cat Blues volunteer and her 10 year old Corgi (dog). The kittens were only on Petfinder for a few days!
